Those who have been to the first bazaar (9th Jan) but couldn't get the items you want cause they were oos, I actually manage to get a few new instocks (Black geeky specs and some new rings/necklaces.) So do dropby to check out the new items. =)

I know my layout for the first bazaar is super messy, so I've decided to bring some boxes so it'll look neater. At least the mess is inside the boxes. :p okay, Hope to see you all there!

Sorry, because I'm unable to find space to keep the instocks and I am not making money, so I have to close this blogshop.

First I have to apologise to those asking for swaps, I'm sorry I've no time to reply because I'm currently very very busy stock taking, changing plastic wrapper for some items, tagging prices on items and packing for the Bazaar. I've received like 6-7 swap request today and I simply do not have time to go through each of your websites. I'm really sorry and I hope you can understand.

Next, I would like to apologise to those asking for more photos or measurements recently, I am unable to provide them because I simply do not have an equipment to measure (lost ruler and measuring tape at the same time. Super Suay right... -.-'') and also not enough time to unpack them from their packaging just to take a few more shots and place it back into the plastic wrapper and pack into those boxes.

Thirdly, those who could not confirm or did not give me a 100% positive reply by 8th Jan 2010, I am sorry for not being able to reserve the items for you. I hope to clear these items in the bazaar and if I didn't manage to clear them, I am considering donating to a certain organization. If you're really interested in the items, do consider going down to the Bazaar. (:

Lastly, I would like to thank all those who have bought from me. Especially a few of you who have given me your support again and again. X Y, RunawayR., Anna/Farhana, Val, Jeanie, Angela, Seakim, and so many more of you... You girls know who you are.. Without you all I wouldn't have kept going even when I'm not making much and felt like closing down when I meet with some unreasonable and demanding customers. Really thank you for your support in this short 6-7 months. If I ever had the ability to "reopen" the shop again, I will let you girls be the first to know! Thanks! (:

1. Local (Singapore) purchase only.
2. Payment through POSB Fund Transfer.
3. Delivery : Normal Post or Registered Mail (additional $2.30 for registered post)
4. I will not be responsible for loss item through normal mail.
5. I'll wrap all items before sending them out. However, I'll not be liable if item got damaged after I drop it off at the Post Office.
6.Goods sold are non-refundable.
7. Payment is to be made within 3 days, upon confirming payment [example: after I've given you my bank details] or I'll re-submit item.

Update: Apparently, I'm not the only one who had bad experience with this seller.

I used do swaps if people have the things I'm interested in. Now I shall no longer entertain swaps/trades/exchanges due to really bad experience.

Recently I did a swap with this girl and I'm sad to say I'm really very disappointed. All my items are brand new in pack yet all her items which she claimed to be brand new are all used items! (Photos at the bottom of this post.)

My items:
1 Red Hearts Shape Shades (C13-003)
+ 1 Big Black Bow / Ribbon Hair Clip (C12-006)
+ 1 Silver Ribbon Anklet (C8-005)
+ 1 Black/Gold Knotted Heart Long Necklace (C7-006)
+ 1 Green Bangles + Golden Happy Charms (C11-002)
+ 1 Vintage Heart Pendant Bangle - Gold (C3-003)

Her items:
1 (BROWN SPOTS Larolle pouch with zip) 4mailed
+ 1 (Red racerback.Brand new in packaging.Tagged M, from mango) 8mailed
+ 1 (White boyfee blouse.Fits S-L.) 8mailed
+ 1 (Glossy purple shorts.Tagged M, fits 27-28.Brand new in packaging.) 14mailed

Out of 4 items I can confirm at least 3 are used.
The Red racerback from mango have tiny hole + stains.
The Boyfee blouse have many many stains!
The Glossy purple shorts's tag has been cut off and looks like it has been washed before.

I felt like I've exchanged 6 piece of accessories for a whole bag of junk! lol.
Because of her, I shall not do anymore swaps unless you really have something that I really really really want.

Why are some of our price so low? & why you should shop with us.

The Dressup Store officially launched on 1st June 2009 with 2 mini collections. The owner is a 21 year old "Auntie" who loves shopping a lot!

Through the years, the owner has brought thousands of things online and collected a whole bunch of bad online shopping experience. With this experience, she decide to open a blogshop which she hopes to create a better shopping experience for her customers.

These are some of the things she is trying to achieve.

1. No long waiting time.
Many of the blogshop does not bring in stock and thus when she sees something she likes, she has to join online sprees and pre-orders. All sprees and pre-orders comes with the hateful long waiting time. Even the shortest time taken is 2 weeks and the longest took more than 2 months. -.-

Therefore the owner decides to order limited number of items and bring them in to sell instead. So, all items in her blogshop are instock!

2. Photos of real item.
Ever bought an item online and when you receive it, it doesn't look like the item you saw on the photo in the blogshop? Most blogshop owners does not have the stock or are too lazy to take photos of the actual item. They simply put whatever photos they can find online or from their suppliers.

All photos of items are taken by the owner using her Sony digital camera which is slightly better compared to those poor quality photos taken by handphone camera. At The Dressup Store, what you see is what you get!

3. Simple Blog Layout.
Ever been to a super confusing blogshop or blogshop that takes forever to load or has loud music that scares you while you're blogshop hopping? The owner does not believe in forcing her favourite type of music on her customers. She also believes that the time taken to create a "perfect" layout could be better spent on sourcing for more stocks to bring in.

If you're looking for blogshops that blasts loud music or one that takes 20mins to load, I'm sad to inform you, The Dressup Store is not the blogshop that you're looking for.

4. Save more on shipping.
Many blogshops in order to make it simple for themselves, they would state the "item + shipping" price, for example (item price 19 + shipping price 1, they would state..) SGD20 mailed. So, when you purchase more than 1 item from their blogshop you have indirectly paid more for shipping.

Case scenario: The normal shipping for 1 item is $1.00 and the normal shipping rate to send out 3 items together is $1.50. You would be indirectly paying $3.00 for normal shipping instead of $1.50!

At The Dressup Store, shipping and handling fee is separated from the item price. When you purchase more than 1 item, the owner will recalculate the postage fee for you.

5. Low Additional Cost (Labour)
Some blogshops are maintained by more than 1 person thus they have to markup their item selling price more, in order to make enough from each sale to benefit everyone. This is also known as "Labour cost". The Dressup Store is owned and maintained by the one and only owner.

6. Low Additional Cost (Other Additional)
Other additional cost comes from special web designing, model's fee for modelling their items and photography fee. Imagine you have to pay more just to see people with good figures or a pretty face to wear items you don't know if it looks good on you.

7. No Additional Cost (Advertising)
The are blogshops that spend quite a bit on advertising and advertorials, where do you think their budget for advertising come from? If you think it's from their own pockets.. think again.. ;)

8. Honesty

If an item is Korean inspired the owner should never label it as "Korean accessories" or "from Korea". I've seen blogshops holding pre-orders for some "Korean accessories" where the items are actually imported from China. The items even come with Tags/Packaging with Korean Wordings to make it look like it's really from Korea.

If you ask me what's the difference between the 2. The quality and price. When you receive an item that looks different from what you see in the photos, most probably the item is not taken from the photo source. So always choose a blogshop that has photos of the actual item to avoid more disappointment. :)

Please do not copy and paste any part of this entry and claim that it's yours, I spend more than 8 hours compiling ideas, organising, typing, taking photos, editing the photos, uploading them and re-organise everything so that it looks good.
